I have been writing songs since i first picked up the guitar aged 14, and in fact, it was the reason i wanted to learn an instrument.
ANYONE CAN WRITE SONGS!
Those songs can be good with a little bit of help.
I often incorporate songwriting ideas into guitar lessons as it helps to the explore the instrument and gives a good reason to improve playing.
Songwriting advice can be offered in the following ways:
1 One to one lessons (as guitar lessons)
2 Workshops in schools, community centres, art centres etc.
Below is the outline of courses that I ran at the MAC arts centre in Birmingham in autumn 2007.
