Documentary: "Dangerous Days" (SD, 211 minutes) - This insanely comprehensive making-of by longtime Scott documentarian Charles de Lauzirika runs not only longer than the feature film itself, but at over three hours it hogs the entire second disc. Vangelis' legendary score is at last fully immersive, with select instruments often directed to specific channels instead of the whole thing sounding like sonic mush emanating only from the fronts. minutes) - Kinda geeky, but this is a fun visit with the film's production design team, and a look at the various bits of signage and other graphical elements they created for the film. Unfortunately, this isn't always the case and the events of Blade Runner revolve around a group of four renegade Replicants who make their way back to Earth and seek their creators within the giant Tyrell corporation. Despite having Harrison Ford in the lead role, his Deckard is subdued and unsympathetic, a cynical character who lives a lonely existence.

For one of the first memorable times in my life, I had to actually consider character motivation and the inner conflict of that individual. Blade Runner: The Final Cut on Ultra HD Blu-ray arrives in pristine condition, although the lack of substantial extras is a disappointment (you'll want the Special Edition (! In a future of high-tech possibility soured by urban and social decay, Deckard hunts for fugitive, murderous replicants - and is drawn to a mystery woman whose secrets may undermine his soul. You can really appreciate the detail in the Tyrell Corporation building, while the VK test with Rachel takes on a whole new warmth.

Even cooler, Warner has remastered all of this material from various sources and re-scored it to create a presentation that's way better than it has any right to be. Clearly the "Final" version is the standout of the set and is sure to give your home theater a nice workout.Deleted and Alternate Scenes (SD, 48 minutes) - This may be the holy grail of the extras for 'Blade Runner' devotees. For the week that ended on January 27th, Warner Home Entertainment's Blade Runner 2049 kept its hold at the top of the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. This first theatrical version of the film has become known as the 1982 "Domestic Cut," which ran 116 minutes (an "International Version" was also released in most territories outside the U.
