About this deal

Straightforward to assemble out of the box, it’s clear this balance bike is designed to withstand plenty of adventures. Another plus is that as the Strider doesn't have air tyres there is less maintenance and no risk of a puncture while out. With grippy handle bars, soft non-slip saddle and anti-puncture wheels the Green Hopper Balance Bike will develop your child to switch to their first real bicycle without any diffculties or fear. Kidvelo are a recent entry into the market, but build on decades of balance biking experience - the team of four who run Kidvelo have been major players in the balance bike industry and joined forces to design and build their own bikes. The EVA foam wheels – similar to the kind of wheels you often find on pushchairs – are puncture-resistant and incredibly durable, while the saddle (although not the comfiest in our round-up) can be adjusted to between 30-40cm, making it a good height for our two-year-old tester to start out on.

The steering is nice and light and the bike itself is also lightweight enough for Bee to pick up herself if she needs to. ECO+ is our offer of sustainable products, designed and made with the aim to take care of you and your children because taking care of children also means taking care of the world in which they will grow up.Lydia has been riding her bike almost every day since it arrived – she loves to use it to go and collect Georgie from school, and also has used it to ride the mile long (and hilly) walk back from her preschool. Children should be able to sit on the saddle, with both feet flat on the floor and with a slight bend at the knee. With its classic, timeless design and chic matte paintwork, this Little Dutch balance bike won us over with its good looks. By practicing with Chicco Balance Bikes, every child will be able to move to a real bicycle with pedals without any difficulties or fear. As mentioned above, the biggest issue with the Red Bullet’s foam tires is that they are only 10″, while most balance bikes have slightly larger 12″ tires.

We've recently reviewed the brand new Hornit AIRO balance bike, and it was so lightweight I actually thought they'd forgotten to put it in the box! This design forces riders into an unnatural, upright position on the Red Bullet, with their arms bent at a 90 degree angle in front of them. After over 7 years and testing over hundreds of bike products, her expertise has led her to collaborate and consult with some of the most respected kid's bike product brands in the industry, including Guardian Bikes, Retrospec, Thousand, Kids Ride Shotgun, and Prevelo. The other half did build the bike at night when Logan was in his bed as we've learnt before children don't like to be kept waiting for toys even if they only take 10 minutes. While this was a little more time-intensive and tricker to add on, it wasn’t hugely complicated and, again, the video really helped us through.
